Billy Neal - Biography

 

 

 

Europe

Bill was singing and playing the Sax and Guitar at seven years old, a music scholar originally classically trained he spent a year at the age of ten with the Royal English Opera Company performing at Covent Garden.

In the UK he created and fronted a nine piece Blues band performing a Commitments and Blues brothers show.

 

He became well known on the professional party scene in the UK and  performed in London at The Savoy, The Empire Ballroom Leicester Square, The Cafe Royal, The Hammersmith Palais and The Roof Gardens to name but a few. The band toured all over Europe and released various original CD's and vinyl.

 

Playing for Princess Diana at Chelsea barracks, being joined on stage by Hal Lindis from Dire Straits and recording at the famous Saw mills and Red Bus studios are a part of the colourful history.

 

Down Under

Bill moved to West Australia in 2004, all his extended family already having been there for ten years. He now performs all around Australia but still returns each year to tour Europe for three months.
